Monument
Most popularNear-black charcoal. The colour that reads as one clean dark line behind a rendered home, and the one most Gold Coast builders spec against dark window frames and a dark roof.
Woodland Grey
A grey with green in it. Against planting it stops being a fence and becomes a background, which is exactly what you want down a garden boundary you look at every day.
Basalt
Mid cool grey, a couple of steps lighter than Monument. Holds its own against lighter render, face brick and concrete without the hard black contrast.

Heights and build
Five heights, level or raked
Bays run at 2.4m between posts. Sheets are the sawtooth infill profile, rails top and bottom, capped posts throughout.
Sloping blocks
Raked, not stepped
On a fall, the cheap way is to step each bay down and leave a triangle of daylight under every panel. That is where the dog gets out and where the leaves blow through. We rake the sheets to the slope so the fence follows your ground the whole way. It takes longer on the day and it is the difference you look at for the next twenty years.
